New Start Scotland nominated for best event

2nd September 2008

Newstart ScotlandNew Start Scotland, Scotland’s largest business exhibition for new starts, has been short-listed in the first ever Scottish Event Awards.

The exhibition, now in its fourth year, has been nominated in the Best Exhibition category.

Each year, over 8,000 entrepreneurs descend on New Start Scotland, all determined to turn their business dreams into reality.

With over 120 exhibitors, 60 seminars as well as a variety of workshops and live features, New Start Scotland provides unrivalled business guidance for entrepreneurs trying to get their idea off the ground and those looking to grow their business further and faster.

New Start Scotland’s organiser Ceri Rogers of Insight Events, said: “Being short-listed in such a prestigious event has given a real boost to the entire team. It’s great to see our hard work recognised by an independent panel of judges.”

“New Start Scotland proves that, despite the credit crunch, there is still a great appetite in Scotland to be your own boss.”

Newstart Magazine“And while the exhibition helps thousands of entrepreneurs every year with business advice and support, our newly launched magazine – New Start – and online portal – www.newstartscotland.com – ensure that advice and guidance is available all year round.”

The winner will be announced at a black tie event on Thursday 4th September at the Glasgow Science Centre. New Start Scotland is up against the BBC Good Food Show; Bank of Scotland Total Art and The Main Event 2008.
