15/ 09/06 - SUIO REFRESHES YUMMY MUMMIES AT PJ PARADE
Scotland’s most popular yummy mummy, tv star Carol Smillie, will lead a fundraising Pyjama Parade walk next weekend as part of CLIC Sargent’s National Yummy Mummy Week - and thanks to local mineral water firm Suio the mummies will be fully refreshed when they cross the finish line.
Carol dons her PJ's!
The Pollokshaws based firm has donated 200 bottles of still and sparkling water to help rehydrate more than 100 yummy mummies and their families expected at the CLIC Sargent event in Glasgow. There are six Pyjama Parades happening throughout the UK as part of Yummy Mummy Week 2006 and the money raised will support vital services for children with cancer and their families.
Participants in Glasgow’s walk can choose a 1km basic walk, which circles the beautiful lawns and gardens of the West End’s Botanic Gardens – or those feeling up to the challenge can follow a 5km scenic route along the River Kelvin.
Healthy water good for all the family
Suio’s managing director Tony Vezza said:
“We were thrilled to be able to help out with such a worthwhile fundraising event. Suio mineral water contains zero nitrates, is high in calcium and magnesium and low in sodium, so it’s a really healthy option. I hope it will help the families taking part to replenish their energy after the walk.”
Chief fundraiser for the Glasgow arm of CLIC Sargent Yummy Mummies, Richard Donald said:
“It’s great news that Suio water will be available to rehydrate all the mums and tots after their charity walk. The day should be enormous fun, so why not pop on your PJs and come and join us?”
The Pyjama Parade starts at 11am on Saturday 16th September, and families are welcome to register on the day. Go to www.clicsargent.org.uk/yummymummy or call 08451 206658 for more information.
